BIRMONGHAM, Ala. – After a career-high performance over the weekend, Florida A&M Volleyball student-athlete
LaDonna Trantham has been named Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Offensive Player of the Week for the period of September 15-21, announced by the league office headquarters Tuesday afternoon in Birmingham, Alabama.

LaDonna Trantham, a 5-foot-9, outside hitter from Homewood, Illinois, was a catalyst for the Rattlers as they went 2-1 in the FAMU Volleyball Tournament housed inside the Al Lawson Center on the FAMU campus in Tallahassee, Florida.

The Homewood Flossmoor High product finished the weekend with 62 kills including a career-high 26-kills performance in the five-set win over Hampton, and 23 kills in an equally as impressive five-set thrilling victory over Louisiana.

She added to her career-high match by hitting .356 in the battle against Hampton, and averaging 4.69 kills per set to boot.

On the year, Trantham leads the Rattlers with 111 kills, 125.5 points, and 11 service aces.
